Collection: Cathy Usatoff

Based in Melbourne, Victoria, Cathy Usatoff holds a degree in Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, along with qualifications in Teaching and Visual Merchandising. Since 2019, she has passionately focused on painting landscapes inspired by the stunning diversity of the Mornington Peninsula.

Cathy’s work is characterized by rich palettes of bold, vibrant colors that capture the beauty of wineries, rural paddocks, and coastal bush. A self-taught artist in both acrylic and oil, her painting process is intuitive and spontaneous, with color playing a vital role in her expression.

Her interpretation of the landscape exists between observed reality and a vibrant, emotional translation. By painting from memory, Cathy enjoys the freedom to exaggerate color, space, and composition, evoking energy and a sense of place rather than simply recording a specific location.

Cathy’s art has gained popularity through local art shows, group exhibitions, retail outlets, art fairs, and her engaging presence on Instagram, where she shares her artistic journey with a growing audience.
