About the Artwork:

Our tropical storms are magical, my response is to capture them in a unique way, an impressionistic sky captures the energy and colour, which is then veiled with mark making, yielding to a rhythm and movement within my work.

About the Artist:

Gold Coast artist Karen Goddard creates abstract and impressionistic works inspired by brightly coloured florals and organic Australian landscapes. Working across acrylics and oils, her practice explores colour, movement, texture and the small details of the natural environment, resulting in emotive and highly expressive paintings.
