About the Artwork:

My local beaches are a place where I relax and enjoy a little solitude, a place to recharge. The golden sands have a glow, especially in summer, the heat, sea mist and restless energy now live in the impressionistic atmosphere and movement within my work.

About the Artist:

Gold Coast artist Karen Goddard creates abstract and impressionistic works inspired by brightly coloured florals and organic Australian landscapes. Working across acrylics and oils, her practice explores colour, movement, texture and the small details of the natural environment, resulting in emotive and highly expressive paintings.
