About the Artwork:

A childhood memory inspires this series of mark making work. The recollection is strong, I capture a moment in time where innocence and play were all that I knew. A special place to grow up with a farm to play in and the celebration of harvest and autumn sunsets, a brief memory a blurred vision and an ode to the Harvesting season.

About the Artist:

Gold Coast artist Karen Goddard creates abstract and impressionistic works inspired by brightly coloured florals and organic Australian landscapes. Working across acrylics and oils, her practice explores colour, movement, texture and the small details of the natural environment, resulting in emotive and highly expressive paintings.
