An impressionistic landscape built from thousands of tiny, innate marks layered across the landscape. Between the marks, fragments of tropical sky appear and dissolve, as if the day itself is reflecting across the water. The paired panels in this Diptych hold the shifting surface and the light that moves through it.

About the Artist:

Gold Coast artist Karen Goddard creates abstract and impressionistic works inspired by brightly coloured florals and organic Australian landscapes. Working across acrylics and oils, her practice explores colour, movement, texture and the small details of the natural environment, resulting in emotive and highly expressive paintings.
