This sculpture reflects on a time for stillness, rest, and protection after a time of great speed. The wren is the symbolism of joy, resilience and small acts of courage to slow down and take a rest, in times where speed and the fast paces world is knocking.

Kalyanii Holden is a Brisbane-based ceramic artist known for her hand-built sculptural works, richly layered with underglazes, slips, oxides, and glass to create textured, narrative surfaces. Her nostalgic “Blue Dog” series draws on childhood memory and the natural world, with her work held in collections internationally and recognised in major national art prizes.
